Daisy
Daisy's new home with Marcie

I’ve been meaning to write to you for a while to let you know that Daisy is doing well. She will always be a wee bit rough around the edges (I’ll explain that more in a minute) but we adore her and she’s spoiled rotten. She’s got us all wrapped around her little paws. She’s just so darn cute and she’s an incredible love muffin! We don’t know what we ever did without her. Her nickname is “Doodle,” as in “Daisy Doodle.” She gets called “Doodle” nearly as much as Daisy. It just fits because she’s so silly.
We got new carpet in the family room in November, so we put up baby gates to keep the dogs in the kitchen when we aren’t home or can’t supervise her. She got to about 95% housebroken prett quickly but didn’t seem to have any interest in getting to 100%. We’re not about to have more carpet ruined! Just last week, we thought we’d finally try leaving her out of her crate some when we weren’t home. It’s working pretty good so far, so we’ll see. She’s still not getting on the carpet without having just been out or without supervision.
As far as “rough around the edges goes,” she never passes up a chance to eat the cat’s food, even if we are right there to see her. Unfortunately, she also likes it after the cat’s eaten it. We have our challenges, keeping it so that the cat can get to her litter box but Daisy can’t. Goofy beagle! Oh, and she snores worse than Steve.
It’s cute when it is time to eat or walk. She get’s so excited that she does a bit of a dance and starts to howl. So, for people who weren’t going to have any more dogs, we’re quite happy to have her.
