Get Involved with PAWS
PAWS is powered entirely by volunteers. Fostering is our greatest need — but there are other ways to help when opportunities arise.
Our Greatest Need — Foster Homes
Because PAWS is a 100% foster-based rescue, opening your home to a dog is the most impactful way to help us save lives.
Other Ways to Support PAWS
In addition to fostering, PAWS occasionally seeks help with specific, short-term needs. These opportunities are limited and may not always be available.
- Assisting at adoption events (helping manage dogs, greeting adopters).
- Transporting dogs from shelters to foster homes or from foster homes to adoption events.
- Fundraising or grant writing.
- Picking up food donations from pet stores.
- Administrative tasks.
Volunteer roles are offered on an as-needed basis and may not be immediately available.
How to Apply
PAWS uses a single application for both fostering and volunteering. While fostering is our greatest need, applicants may indicate how they would like to help.
